Shaping the future together: Review of CreativeTech for Impact 2026

13.05.2026

CreativeTech for Impact 2026 at the Deutsches Museum showed how robotics, design and sound are creating new forms of human-machine interaction. The focus was on cross innovation, XR and creative technologies.

On May 8, 2026, the auditorium at the Deutsches Museum became a meeting place for creative professionals, tech experts, industry partners and numerous interested parties as part of munich creative business week (mcbw) 2026. The "CreativeTech for Impact" meet-up focused on the question of how creativity, technology and interdisciplinary collaboration can jointly open up new perspectives for the future.

After a guided tour of the robotics exhibition at the Deutsches Museum, the event was opened by Dr. Markus Eder from the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, Dr. Robert Bartl from Bayern Innovativ GmbH and Christian Fayek from bayern design.

As the event progressed, it became clear how fruitful the combination of technology and design can be: TJ Graebe and Dr. Jürgen Baier from isento GmbH used the example of the humanoid robot pib to provide insights into development, while Prof. Daniel Nusser showed how design shapes relationships and makes technology emotionally tangible, particularly vividly in the work of his students.

Mathis Nitschke set another exciting accent with his perspective on the sense of hearing and the question of how robots sound. His contribution made it clear that sound design is a central approach to human-machine interaction, not least because hearing creates orientation and shapes perception in a special way.

The event tied in with the Cross-Innovation Journey 2025 and showed how valuable the exchange between different disciplines is. In addition to professional impulses, the meet-up offered plenty of space for encounters and networking. During the subsequent exchange and the accompanying tour of the "Robotics - Machines that Serve" exhibition, ideas were deepened, contacts were made and new collaborations were initiated.

Johanna Lison, Project Manager CreativeTechHUB at Bayern Innovativ GmbH, summed up the impressions of the day in a nutshell:

"The presentations at the Creative Tech for Impact Meet-up showed that the robotics of the future will not only be developed technically, but also designed through relationships, perception and listening. Designers are increasingly becoming relationship designers between humans and machines. And perhaps it will not be sound, but rather silence that will be the quality feature of intelligent robotics."

With the presentation of upcoming formats, including the next cross-innovation journey "Creativity meets Robotics", the focus was also on the future. The "CreativeTech for Impact" meet-up showed how much can be achieved when creative excellence, technological expertise and a shared passion for design come together.

The next meet-up is planned for July 2026.
