What developments could shape the cultural and creative industries in the coming years? What opportunities and challenges will they present? Together with Bayern Innovativ's Technology and Innovation Management (TIM), we have looked at these questions in depth in order to develop possible visions for the future of the industry.
As part of our workshop, we analyzed key developments based on the trend radar from the 3rd Bavarian Cultural and Creative Industries Report. We looked at trends in the areas of technology, ecology, economy, society and politics. With the help of projections on these trends, we were able to run through various scenarios and develop visions of the future in small groups. A particular focus was placed on the method of backcasting: this involved analyzing how individual stakeholders would act in the future scenarios designed and which strategic decisions are necessary to prepare for these developments in the present.
The top trends show that the cultural and creative industries are undergoing profound change. Developments such as digitalization, the spread of artificial intelligence, sustainable value chains and new cooperation models are particularly influential. The industry is facing the challenge of adapting to these changes and simultaneously opening up new creative spaces.
We would like to thank our colleagues at TIM for their thorough preparation and implementation, as well as our entire team for the creative exchange and valuable input. Now it's time for the next phase: the results will be further elaborated and published later this year. Stay tuned!
