Macnica ATD Europe combines the European activities of the listed Japanese company Yokohama Macnica Inc. (headquartered in Yokohama/Japan), one of the world's largest distributors of semiconductors, which was founded in 1972. The roots of Macnica ATD Europe go back to the imaging solutions distributor ATD Electronique, which was fully acquired by Macnica Inc. in 2019, and the former German Macnica GmbH. Macnica ATD Europe combines several decades of experience in B2B semiconductor and imaging distribution with an extensive product portfolio that includes memory, GNSS, IoT and power management ICs, as well as a focus on image sensors, optics, interface circuits, IPs, imaging processors, cables and OLED microdisplays, and a growing portfolio of ready-to-use AI solutions.

Macnica was founded in 1972 by Haruki Kamiyama in the belief that youth and technology would change the world.
