After finishing my studies in aeronautical engineering and management at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, Germany, I directed my career into the automotive industry. During my studies, I had a first touchpoint with automated / assisted systems during the training for my pilot licence. The feeling of having to trust an automated system descending through clouds and fog very close to the ground left a lasting impression on me, albeit a positive one.
In the automotive industry I entered the field of electronics, first specializing in powertrain system and later on as a team manager focused on developing the field of chassis electronics for EDAG. After 5 years of managing teams, recruiting and developing employees, I took the chance to take on the responsibility of managing EDAG’s portfolio in ADAS and AD, which I’ve been doing for more than 2 years now, since those systems never stopped to intrigue me. My current focus is to introduce AD-systems (mostly type-2) into monetarization.
