Dr. González received the master and Ph.D. degrees from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain, in 2008 and 2013. In 2014, he joined Aalto University, Finland, and served for over 3 years as post-doctoral researcher and lecturer of wireless communications and mobile broadband systems. In 2017, Dr. González joined the Panasonic Research and Development Center, Germany, where he served as Research Engineer and delegate in 3GPP’s 5G standardization with focus on Radio Access Network, physical layer aspects.

Since May 2018, Dr. González is with Continental AG, Germany, and serves as Senior Research Engineer, managing research projects, representing Continental in external committees and standardization, and conducting research on wireless communications and vehicular connectivity for beyond-5G systems and 6G. 

Dr. González is Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)  and Professional Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and actively support academia from his industry position collaborating in several international research projects.
