Andreas has degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Business Administration, and holds a number of patents in wireless technologies. He joined the Siemens Central Research Division in 2002 as a radio front-end and system designer. In 2012 he took over as Head of Wireless Research, where he is responsible for a team of experts and for the alignment of research activities across Siemens in the wireless arena. In parallel to the research interests, Andreas and his team also drive standardisation of wireless technologies like 5G and 6G.
