Since August 2025, Dr. Alexandra-Gwyn Paetz has led the "Technological Sovereignty and Innovation" department at the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space, steering Germany's high-tech agenda. From 2022 to 2025, she led the Berlin University Alliance, playing a pivotal role in raising its profile. She spent several years in various roles, most recently as Head of Strategic Development and Communication, where she shaped the merger of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Prior to entering science management, the business economist worked in the energy industry.
