TUM Mission Network Circular Economy – CirculaTUM

The TUM Mission Network Circular Economy (CirculaTUM) is dedicated to transforming business practices to create a more sustainable and resilient economy. By promoting smarter resource use and ensuring their preservation for future generations, CirculaTUM brings together the diverse expertise within the Technical University of Munich (TUM) across all disciplines and locations, supporting TUM´s efforts to decouple prosperity from resource consumption.

We focus on key areas such as industrial value creation, the built environment, and natural cycles, with an emphasis on material cycles. CirculaTUM supports interdisciplinary research projects, systemic thinking in education, and encourages student engagement and entrepreneurial potential.

By fostering dialogue between industry and society, CirculaTUM plays a vital role in the shift from a traditional linear economy to a circular model, contributing to the industrial and societal transformation.
