Rohde & Schwarz supports quantum computing scientists, researchers, and engineers with test and measurement solutions which demonstrate high performance, great flexibility, and excellent application fit. To further strengthen its position in quantum technology, Rohde & Schwarz has acquired the Swiss company Zurich Instruments AG on July 1, 2021 as a full subsidiary. Zurich Instruments offers Quantum Computing Control Systems (QCCS), designed to control more than 100 superconducting and spin qubits.

Extremely pure and clean RF sources such as the ultra-low-noise R&S SGS100A RF signal generator help to increase qubit count and system stability. High-precision vector network analyzers (VNA) assist researchers to determine exact properties of Quantum Computing chips, to verify the desired resonance frequencies, and to debug the quantum computing system. Spectrum analyzers help to characterize and calibrate IQ mixers and to suppress undesired bands. High-speed oscilloscopes enable precise temporal synchronization of signals in the time domain, which is needed for setting up and debugging quantum computing systems. Multichannel solutions with a small form factor scale the quantum computing system up.
