Dr. Thomas Nowey is Corporate Information Security Officer and Group Data Protection Officer of the Krones Group. As Head of Connectivity and Security, he is also responsible for consulting and services for cybersecurity in industrial environments at the digitalization subsidiary Syskron. Thomas Nowey has held various specialist and management positions at the Krones Group for more than a decade. The topic of security has always accompanied him.

Thomas Nowey studied business informatics and was subsequently a research assistant to Prof. Dr. Hannes Federrath. He wrote his doctoral thesis on the inter-company collection of information on security incidents. As a lecturer at the University of Regensburg and the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences, he enthusiastically shares his theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

He is a member of the advisory board of the Alliance for Cybersecurity, deputy chairman of the VDMA Information Security Working Group and economic spokesman for the ZD.B Cybersecurity Topic Platform.
