"Susanne Mayer is overall laboratory head at the Musculoskeletal University Center Munich (MUM) and has been working at the clinic since 2004. Susanne Mayer's research interests lie in the field of translational musculoskeletal medicine. She holds a doctorate in medicine, is a specialist in orthopaedics with training at the Ludwig Maximilian University, the Technical University of Munich, the University of Heidelberg, the University of Ulm, the University of Bern and the University of California San Francisco and completed her habilitation in 2011.
Susanne Mayer's research focuses on the molecular correlations of musculoskeletal diseases. Her focus is on the degeneration and regeneration of tissues."
