Dr. Stefan Riegg has been supporting the Environmental Cluster Bavaria as a project officer since 16 January 2023. The physicist (Dr. rer. nat., University of Augsburg) already worked on resource strategies during his doctorate in a research training group. The focus was on the synthesis and characterization of perovskite materials with specific magnetic properties. As a materials scientist, he then worked on the recycling of magnetic materials and alternative magnetocaloric-based air conditioning technology. Most recently, Dr. Riegg worked as a sub-project manager in international projects on the topics of "resource-efficient production of magnetic materials" and "additive manufacturing of magnets".

At the environmental cluster, Dr. Riegg is in charge of the ReSoCart-ED project, among others.
