Prof. Dr. Rafaela Kraus is Professor of Corporate and HR Management at the Bundeswehr University and an expert in innovation, technology transfer and start-up ecosystems in the aerospace, defense and public sectors. After studying business administration at LMU Munich and the Sorbonne in Paris, she completed a doctorate in business psychology. She was a management consultant and has been a professor since 2006, as well as Vice Dean, Dean and Vice President from 2010 to 2025. She founded founders@unibw and the SpaceFounders accelerator and was instrumental in founding successful dual-use start-ups such as ARX Robotics. Her work connects science, politics and industry across Europe - especially in NewSpace and DefTech initiatives. This makes her a prominent voice for innovation-driven sovereignty and strategic technology transfer in Europe.
