Herbert Sinnesbichler graduated from Munich University of Applied Sciences in 1995 with a degree in technical physics. Since 2002, he has been a research associate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics and head of the Evaluation and Demonstration working group within the Energy Efficiency and Indoor Climate department.

His main areas of expertise are the evaluation of innovative building systems and supply concepts to reduce the energy consumption of buildings. To this end, we carry out metrological investigations in the technical center, on the Fraunhofer IBP outdoor test site in Holzkirchen and on buildings in real use. Simulation calculations supplement the detailed metrological investigations and support the transfer of the findings into practical applications.
