Prof. Dr. Cristian Axenie
Dr Axenie (SMIEEE) is Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Embedded AI Group Lead at the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm in Nürnberg, Germany. At the same time, Dr Axenie is Neuromorphic Computing Solutions Lead at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits. After earning an Engineering Sciences Doctorate in Neuroscience and Robotics from the Technical University of Munich, Dr Axenie held research lead positions with Huawei Research Centre, AUDI Konfuzius-Institut Ingolstadt Laboratory, Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, WindRiver Systems/Aptiv, and Freescale Semiconductors/NXP. Dr Axenie has over 15 years of academic and industrial research. His research has been published in over 50 peer-reviewed publications and 14 patents. He currently acts as a Steering Committee Member of the ITU/UN AI4Good Impact initiative, the Neuromorphic Computing Labs of Northern Bayern, and is a guest speaker of the Alan Turing Institute.
