Dr. Christian Weimer studied mechanical engineering at the RPTU Kaiserslautern. From 1998 to 2003, he was a research assistant and team leader at the Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe GmbH (Kaiserslautern). In 2002 he received his doctorate from the RPTU Kaiserslautern. From 2003, Dr. Weimer held various management positions at Airbus Helicopters, including Head of Production Technologies and Senior Expert. From 2012 to 2016, he was Head of Operations at Airbus Group Innovations. Since 2017, he has been Head of Materials at Airbus, Central Research and Technology. Dr. Weimer continues to work as a lecturer at the Technical University of Munich.
