Anja Birke graduated from the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Management. Her focus in both degree programmes was on innovation and sustainability management.

During internships at the Dräxlmaier Group and PUMA SE, she was able to apply what she had learnt in practice and gain further experience.

From July 2020 to March 2024, she worked as a project manager in technology and innovation management. Since April 2024, she has been working in sustainability management and reporting at Bayern Innovativ.
