Profile
The Technology and Promotion Center (TFZ) in the Competence Center for Renewable Resources is an independent institution of the Bavarian State Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. In the TFZ, institutions with many years of experience in applied research in the field of renewable raw materials, which have been involved in this specialist area for 20 and 30 years at the previous state institutes for soil culture and plant cultivation and for agricultural technology, respectively, have been brought together. In addition, a biomass promotion center was newly established at the TFZ. The Technology and Promotion Center (TFZ) conducts application-oriented research and development in the areas of breeding and production processes of raw material plants, technology of biogenic solid fuels, and technology of biogenic fuels, lubricants and process materials. In addition, the execution of support programs for renewable raw materials of the Bavarian State Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is carried out within Bavaria. Findings from research work flow into the consultation of practice, industry and politics (among other things, operation of a training and exhibition center for renewable raw materials (SAZ) with permanent exhibition) Number of employees: 35
