As a non-university research institute, we combine application-oriented development with scientific depth. Our portfolio includes cross-material class solutions for plastics, metals, functional materials and their combinations - always geared to specific requirements.

Our key topics: Sustainability, digitalization, energy. We develop material solutions for closed cycles, evaluate environmental impacts using life cycle analyses and use digital technologies such as IoT, machine learning and digital twins for intelligent, efficient processes.

We offer a broad spectrum in the field of additive manufacturing: SLS (incl. automated demo factory), LAAM, PBF-LB/M, DED-LB/M, FFF/M and diffusion bonding.

Our infrastructure ranges from laboratory to industrial scale, supplemented by comprehensive analytics. We work in an interdisciplinary and practical manner - in cooperation with industry and research, in projects or as a service provider for analytics, component testing, contract manufacturing and small series.
