In the development of embedded systems, the interdisciplinary cooperation of different disciplines with competences in the areas of hardware and software is indispensable. The Interdisciplinary Center for Embedded Systems (ESI) with currently 16 chairs allows, as a central contact point, to bring diverse, specialized expertise in collaborations between research institutions of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU)  and companies from a wide range of industries.
