As a state institution, the Consulate General plays an important role in maintaining and promoting political, economic, cultural, scientific and consular relations between Hungary and Bavaria. Hungary is represented in Bavaria by the Consulate General of Hungary in Bavaria. The Consulate General is headed by Consul General Gábor Tordai-Lejkó.
