The Kelheim district economic development agency is the central point of contact for companies, start-ups and investors. It supports the regional economy with individual advice, location brokerage and the acquisition of funding. A central goal is to secure and create jobs as well as the sustainable development of the business location. The Economic Development Agency assists companies with relocations and expansions as well as with questions regarding approval procedures.
With the two model projects "Open Regional Campus" and "Regional Innovation Valley", the regional education and innovation landscape is being strengthened through close networking between science, business and administration. This creates new spaces for innovation, knowledge exchange and cooperative projects in the district. The aim is to position the region as a pioneer for sustainable and digital innovations. Companies, start-ups, universities and research institutions are connected through targeted networking.
The economic development agency is also committed to sustainable infrastructure, digitalization and securing a skilled workforce. Together with partners, it is actively shaping the economic future of the region.

• Arranging and coordinating applications for development loans
• Maintaining contacts and collaborating with business-related institutions (e.g. local authorities, Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Chamber of Crafts, employment agency)
• Support with regard to securing skilled workers for local companies
