As an independent testing and research institute, OFI supports and accompanies innovations from the idea to the market launch. Specializing in materials applications, we test materials and products - from plastics to coatings, from medical devices to food packaging. Applied research & development enables us to work out practicable solutions together with our customers. In the context of packaging, OFI is concerned with ease of use, material selection, safety and quality, as well as sustainability and recycling.

OFI is a founding member of Austrian Cooperative Research (ACR), the umbrella organization of Austria's cooperative research institutions.
