Profile

The Institute for Sustainable Energy Supply GmbH supports local authorities, companies and organisations in establishing sustainable energy and supply structures and in achieving climate targets. Its work is based on an interdisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, computer scientists and business economists who combine technical expertise with many years of project experience. As part of Bayernwerk AG and integrated into the E.ON Group network, INEV combines independent consulting expertise with a strong energy industry environment.
Project work follows a holistic approach – from analysis and strategic classification to the development of technically and economically viable concepts to the implementation and consolidation of concrete measures. This results in robust solutions for efficient energy use, resource protection and the further development of sustainable structures in the areas of electricity, heat and mobility.

The range of services includes municipal heat planning, energy use and neighbourhood concepts, greenhouse gas and energy balances, potential analyses, and climate protection and climate neutrality strategies. Funding programmes are integrated into project development at an early stage – from the selection of suitable funding programmes and the application process to technical support during implementation.

One of INEV's particular strengths lies in combining technical analysis with process design. Participation formats, networking and digital methods such as data-based analyses or digital twins create transparency, support robust decision-making and increase the connectivity of complex projects.

This integrated approach is also central to the further development of sustainable energy systems: existing infrastructures are systematically evaluated, technical potential is identified and development paths are derived from this that are both technically sound and practical to implement.

With a strategic vision, technical expertise and a strong focus on implementation, INEV shapes the energy transition together with its clients – in a reliable, practical and sustainable manner.
