Success stories of the funding program

inContAlert - The development of a sensor system for measuring the filling level of the urinary bladder

Object of the company or object of the MVA project: inContAlert is a MedTech start-up and is developing a sensor technology for measuring the bladder filling level in incontinence patients. The data collected individually from the patient is analyzed and evaluated using AI algorithms. The bladder filling level determined in this way is then displayed in an app that warns patients of critical filling levels.

With inContAlert, patients themselves as well as hospitals and care facilities can now perform emptying at the optimum time. By regaining their bladder management, patients can avoid long-term health problems and improve their quality of life enormously.

RAPID Diagnostics - A revolution in cell-based in-vitro diagnostics

Object of the company or object of the MVA project: Rivercyte GmbH is ushering in a new era of cell-based analysis. We produce technologies for the rapid automated analysis of living cells, for example from a single drop of blood or from tissue samples. We develop and manufacture compact, affordable and user-friendly devices, consumables and AI-based software solutions optimized for biomedical research and diagnostic applications. Our products are based on the characterization of individual cells based on their physical and morphological features, including their shape, size and mechanical properties - information that has so far been left out of medical research and practice.

ATR Biofluid

Object of the company or object of the MVA project: The aim of the ATR Biofluide project was to research and develop a signal-enhanced disposable sample carrier for cost-efficient blood and biofluid analysis using ATR infrared spectroscopy.

The biotech startup IRUBIS was founded in September 2017 by Lorenz Sykora-Mirle, Alexander Geißler and Anja Müller. IRUBIS' innovative Monipa measurement system is based on mid-infrared spectroscopy and has been developed for the process development and production of biopharmaceuticals. The plug-and-play system simplifies the real-time measurement of metabolites and nutrients in cell cultivation as well as protein quantity and quality parameters in purification. Process monitoring and control enables higher yields, better quality and shortens overall process development.
