Active call for funding and evaluation of the sketches
- During an active call for funding, you can submit your project outline in accordance with the requirements of the call for funding. We recommend that you seek advice from us or Medical Valley in advance.
- After the funding call is closed, your project outline will be formally and technically reviewed. The outlines submitted are in competition with each other. Your outline will be evaluated according to the following selection criteria:
- high innovation potential and technical/scientific originality
- Viable business model and high spin-off potential
- Clear unique selling points compared to the competition
- Committed and qualified team with a fundamental intention to found a company
- Considerable technical and scientific risk
- positive property rights situation
- ability to connect at the end of the support.
- The research teams with the highest-rated sketches will be invited to make a presentation to the Medical Valley Award jury.
- The jury will recommend 5 winning teams.
Submission of the application and application review
- If your sketch is one of the 5 winning teams, the application will be activated and followed by an application consultation. During the application consultation, all necessary documents for the application will be discussed with you.
- Once the application has been successfully submitted, it will be formally checked for completeness and checked again for technology.
- The approval authority, the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, will then review the submitted review report and the application.
Notification, implementation and utilization phase
- If the assessment is positive and after checking the availability and planning of the funding in the Bavarian budget, you will receive a written notification by post.
- Reports and other documents must be submitted during the implementation period. We will provide you with the relevant forms and documents.
- The implementation period is followed by a three-year utilization period. During this period, short annual reports are due, which provide information on whether and how your new findings are being used.
