Be part of the MedtecSUMMIT focusing on "Telemedicine and AI: Paths to better prevention and diagnostics"!

Telemedicine and artificial intelligence (AI) are becoming increasingly important in healthcare, especially with regard to improving prevention and diagnostics. This MedtecSUMMIT in focus highlights the synergistic effects of these two technologies and their potential to support healthcare and ensure high-quality, accessible healthcare for all.

Prevention in the digital age: the role of telemedicine for a healthy future

In the digital age, healthcare faces the challenge of developing innovative approaches to prevention that meet the needs of an increasingly connected society. Can telemedicine play a key role in a healthy future? Telemedicine enables access to medical services via digital platforms and promotes proactive health monitoring that goes beyond traditional doctor visits. At the MedtecSUMMIT in focus, various facets and views of telemedicine will be discussed, including the possibilities of remote patient care, the use of mobile health applications and the implementation of teleconsultations. These technologies not only offer improved accessibility to healthcare services, but also the opportunity to identify health risks at an early stage and take preventative measures. In addition, it will be discussed how telemedicine strengthens patient involvement and supports the self-management of (chronic) illnesses.

Artificial intelligence: the future of intelligent decision-making

We will then explain how AI-supported systems can optimize preventive measures and diagnostic processes. By analyzing large amounts of data, AI enables the early identification of risk factors and disease patterns, leading to proactive healthcare strategies. In diagnostics, AI improves accuracy and efficiency by helping doctors make informed decisions based on precise data analysis. The challenges and ethical considerations associated with the use of AI in healthcare will also be highlighted. Finally, the speakers will give an outlook on the future role of AI in improving prevention and diagnostics. AI can not only revolutionize decision-making, but also make a decisive contribution to promoting a healthier society.

Inspection / guided tour: AI in cardiology radiology

Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly important in radiology, as it accelerates image acquisition and processing, enables the automated detection of diseases in medical images and efficiently supports their sometimes complex post-processing. In view of the constantly increasing demand for radiological diagnostics, the use of artificial intelligence currently appears to be indispensable in order to be able to cope with the growing workload efficiently and to a high standard of quality. At the Institute of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, Prof. Wech will inform you about current challenges and AI-supported solutions in radiological imaging. A particular focus will be on the continuous development of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.
