The Bavarian Chips Alliance and the New Materials Cluster will be jointly providing information on why ceramics and their properties are indispensable for modern electronics and which applications in various industrial sectors can be realized as a result.
Details
You can look forward to a keynote speech by Bavarian State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt, exciting keynote speeches, an interactive panel discussion and a tour of the production facilities of PCB manufacturer Rogers Germany GmbH at the end of the event.
Take the opportunity to exchange ideas and network with industry experts - from the ceramics and porcelain industry, for semiconductors, electronics and industrial materials as well as for applications in smartphones, computers, cars, medical technology, telecommunications, defense and aerospace.
The event will take place in Eschenbach i.d.OPf . Details of the venue will be announced shortly.
Why is ceramic so important in electronics?
- Electrical insulation: Prevents unwanted current flows.
- Temperature resistance: Withstands extreme heat and cold cycles.
- Chemical stability: Resistant to corrosion in aggressive environments
- Mechanical strength: high hardness and wear resistance
- Thermal conductivity: Dissipates heat efficiently.
Where is ceramic used in electronics?
- Substrates and printed circuit boards: as a carrier material for electronic components
- Insulating components: coilformers, connectors, high-performance switches and insulators
- Passive components: capacitors and fuses
- Thermal management: heat sinks for high-performance electronics
- Semiconductor industry: wafer handling, nozzles, heaters or process chambers in clean rooms
- Sensor technology: sensor heads and components for measurement and control technology
- Power electronics & e-mobility: components for battery, charging and drive systems
- Optoelectronics: components for lasers and lighting applications
