Our free event series "Fit for digitalization in medical practices" (CME certification applied for) offers you practical answers to precisely these questions. In regular digital formats, experienced experts share in-depth knowledge and best practices relating to digitalization in medical practices. You will also have the opportunity to ask your individual questions directly to the speakers and exchange ideas with colleagues.

How can routine data - such as billing data or electronic health records - be used beyond their original documentation function to improve healthcare in a targeted manner?

In Finland, the secondary use of health and social data is regulated by law and is an integral part of research, management and care control. From national dashboards to clinically applicable analysis tools: Data creates the basis for modern, quality-oriented healthcare.

Arho Virkki, Chief Data Officer at Turku University Hospital, provides exciting insights into Finnish practice in his research-related article. Among other things, the focus is on

  • the analysis and use of legally approved routine data
  • the use of regional dashboards and benchmarking tools in the context of state funding
  • the concrete benefits for doctors, nurses and clinics - from scientific prototypes to possible integration into EHR systems

The aim is to transfer research findings into care practice - evidence-based, applicable and future-oriented.
An approach that the German healthcare system can also learn from.

The event will be held in English.
