Publish-Industry and UnternehmerTUM have launched a free competition to recognize outstanding applications in the field of artificial intelligence in the manufacturing industry. The "FREDDIE - Industrial AI Award 2025" offers a platform for pioneering AI solutions - from optimized production processes to new business models.
Participating companies have the opportunity to present their application in a short digital pitch to a high-caliber jury. The award ceremony will take place on October 16, 2025 at UnternehmerTUM in Munich. The winning projects will also be presented there in detail.
Who can apply?
Companies from industry in German-speaking countries - especially SMEs - can apply. A maximum of three already implemented AI projects per company are permitted. Service providers, technology providers, software companies and start-ups that focus purely on B2C are not eligible to participate. You can apply free of charge here.
What are the different categories?
The awards are presented in five categories - depending on the impact of the AI application: Customer Experience (AI creates new products or customer experiences), Process Excellence (Significant increase in efficiency and productivity through process optimization), Transformation Mindset (Promoting cultural change through the use of AI), Sustainability (AI solutions to promote sustainable practices and solve environmental challenges) and Game Changer (Disruptive applications that fundamentally change existing paradigms).
The jury evaluates, among other things: Degree of innovation, technical implementation, scalability, economic benefit, user-friendliness, data security and sustainability.
