EU project IDEALIST offers targeted support for the use of advanced manufacturing technologies

Free, expert-based initial consultation and Europe-wide networking for small and medium-sized enterprises

11.02.2026

The EU project IDEALIST is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that want to overcome specific technological challenges in manufacturing. Through a targeted initiative, companies receive free, expert-based support and access to Europe-wide technology and innovation networks.

The IDEALIST project, funded by the European Union, is currently providing information on a support initiative aimed in particular at small and medium-sized enterprises seeking help with the introduction of advanced manufacturing technologies. The offer is of particular interest to organizations and networks that support companies in innovation and transformation processes.

The target group is SMEs with a specific technological need, whose participation enables them to benefit from initial, free and expert-oriented support. As part of the programme, the companies are networked with technology providers, research and technology organizations (RTOs) and European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) from all over Europe, who can respond specifically to individual challenges.

The initiative focuses on advanced technologies for the manufacturing industry. It is particularly aimed at companies that want to combine high-quality manual or manual processes with collaborative robots (cobots), automation or CNC systems or want to further develop their production processes using digital technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, digital twins or simulations.

With this approach, IDEALIST makes an important contribution to increasing the innovative capacity, resilience and competitiveness of European SMEs and supports them in testing new technological solutions in a practical way.
