The Clean Hydrogen Partnership has published its 2026 Call for Proposals and is providing 105 million euros from Horizon Europe for the ramp-up of clean hydrogen technologies in Europe. The focus is on market-oriented projects along the entire value chain - from renewable hydrogen production, storage and distribution to applications that drive the use of fuel cells in heavy-duty transport, shipping, heat and power applications.
Funding priorities at a glance
- Renewable hydrogen production - €16 million.
- Hydrogen storage and distribution - €17.5 million.
- Transportation (incl. heavy-duty and maritime) - €25 million.
- Heat and electricity - € 16 million.
- Cross-cutting issues - € 5.5 million.
- Hydrogen Valleys - €25 million to support integrated regional hydrogen ecosystems.
The aim is to promote real demonstration projects, reduce costs, increase reliability and reduce investment risks in order to strengthen Europe's industrial leadership in the field of clean hydrogen.
For Bavarian companies - especially smaller companies and technology-oriented SMEs - the call offers attractive opportunities to position themselves in European hydrogen value chains and to finance pilot and demonstration projects.
Applications must be submitted via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal by April 15, 2026, 17:00 (CEST).
