The Commission has launched the European Women Innovators Award 2025. The initiative, supported by the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), recognizes the outstanding achievements of female entrepreneurs behind the most ground-breaking innovations in Europe.
The winners are selected in three award categories:
EIC Women Innovators
This category is open to all female founders and co-founders from the EU and associated countries. The winner will receive 100,000 euros, the other two women will each receive 70,000 and 50,000 euros respectively.
EIC Rising Innovators
This category is for young female innovators under the age of 35. The winner receives 50,000 euros, the other two women 30,000 and 20,000 euros respectively.
EIT Women Leadership
This category is open to female entrepreneurs who have a direct connection to the EIT community or one of the existing knowledge and innovation communities. The winner will receive 50,000 euros, the second and third place winners 30,000 and 20,000 euros respectively.
The application phase has started and ends on September 25, 2024.
