Cars are fast and dynamic, and so is the market in which they find themselves. Constant innovation, which above all must be safe and robust, is essential. Medical technology is following this trend with the drive for digitalization and networking to improve patient care.

Continental Engineering Services knows both sides: With its roots and many years of expertise in the automotive industry, it is also active in the healthcare sector and wants to make a difference here. To make this work, it offers many different services, says David Steger, Program Manager at Continental Engineering Services: "With our motto 'pragmatic. versatile. fast.', we support companies in small to large, complex projects with customer-specific solutions ranging from hardware and software to complete system integration - from the idea to the finished product. This applies to new developments as well as system modernizations and enhancements."

In the healthcare sector, medical technology and digital health in particular are points of contact where Continental Engineering Services can find synergies with its expertise. The processes and requirements are similar, meaning that the company can provide support with high quality, stability and safety. With its knowledge of the various industries and specialist areas and its focus on development services, the company is a strong partner for the healthcare of the future.

One example of this is the partnership with AIRAmed: "Together, we are developing an AI-supported software solution for the analysis and precise measurement of MRI image data for the early and differential diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease. Through the international scaling and further development of this solution, which we support, we are improving patient care in the long term," explains Steger.

What do automotive and medical technology have in common? Both industries set the highest standards in terms of safety, quality and stability. However, the move into the healthcare sector also brings one thing with it: new perspectives. Steger explains that he has noticed a few aspects here: "Due to innovations and advancing digitalization, medical technology is facing new challenges and opportunities. Our experience in the automotive industry enables us to transfer innovative approaches and proven methods to medical technology, combining high process reliability with agile technologies. We can use this expertise and established technologies to make a valuable contribution to medical technology, for example in data transmission, processing and storage. Nevertheless, no system is 100% secure, which is why we see it as our task to continuously monitor and improve systems - during development, in production and in the field. This enables us to advance future technologies that will improve patient care in the future." Continental Engineering Services sees itself as a driver of innovation and aims to advance the industry in precisely such areas by transferring knowledge from other areas and providing expertise.

We are delighted to welcome such a dynamic company as Continental Engineering Services to our Bayern Innovativ GmbH Health partner network. With their fresh perspective and cross-industry expertise, they promise to bring exciting new impetus to the healthcare industry. We are very excited to see what pioneering projects will emerge from this collaboration.
