The MedtecSUMMIT looks back on a long and successful history. In 2000, the medical technology industry gathered in Nuremberg for the first time for the "Medizin Innovativ" congress, which has been organized by Bayern Innovativ GmbH on behalf of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs ever since.
From 2008 to 2016, the international congress and accompanying trade exhibition took place every two years in Nuremberg and became increasingly relevant thanks to the involvement of national and international cooperation partners. The focus then as now was on pioneering innovations and interdisciplinary dialog between science, research, clinical practice and industry.
In cooperation with NürnbergMesse, the previously extremely successful accompanying congress exhibition was transformed into an independent medical technology exhibition in 2017. Even during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, the virtual event "MedtecLIVE & SUMMIT" proved to be a valuable forum for intensifying continuous networking and knowledge sharing within the industry, even in difficult times.
Today, MedtecSUMMIT is an indispensable key event for the medtech community, promoting and sustainably implementing progress in the healthcare sector through multidisciplinary dialog, groundbreaking innovations and strategic collaboration.
