The association "Die Gas- und Wasserstoffwirtschaft" is expanding its network with five new member companies.
The association "Die Gas- und Wasserstoffwirtschaft" aims to strengthen its role in the energy transition by expanding its personnel and structure. Four new supervisory board members were elected at the most recent members' meeting. In addition, five new companies from the fields of hydrogen, LNG infrastructure and plant technology joined the association. The expansion is intended to pool expertise and increase the industry's ability to act, as the association explained in a press release on June 24.
The association's network continues to grow: Hydrogen Lichtenau GmbH & Co KG, the bio-LNG filling station operator Rolande Germany GmbH and Reganosa Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of the Spanish LNG terminal operator Reganosa, have been added. Everllence SE and Engie Deutschland AG are also new. Everllence - previously operating under the name MAN Energy Solutions - develops plant and engine technology, particularly in the hydrogen and ammonia sectors. Engie is building an integrated hydrogen value chain for industry and municipalities.
According to CEO Timm Kehler, the association aims to map the entire process chain of the gas and hydrogen industry - from production to transportation and use. "If you want to shape the energy supply of tomorrow, you have to bring the right partners to the table today," says Kehler.
The so-called "H2 Start-up Cluster" is experiencing further growth. The most recent addition is Hanseatic Hydrogen GmbH, which plans to produce green hydrogen in Stade (Lower Saxony) from 2028. According to the association, the cluster offers young companies access to established expertise and exchange formats with industry players.
Ralf Bahke (Ontras Gastransport, Leipzig), Martina Butz (Stadtwerke Hanau, Hesse), Matthias Klein-Lassek (Dortmunder Energie- und Wasserversorgung) and Daniel Muthmann (Höegh EVI, Norway) were appointed to the supervisory board.
