As the transition to sustainable energy solutions continues, hydrogen is gaining an increasingly important role in the energy supply chain.
The workshop "Thermal Management in the Hydrogen Supply Chain - Applications and Measurement Techniques" on March 14, 2024 will focus on thermal management in this chain as well as the determination of thermophysical properties under hydrogen atmosphere and application conditions. The event will bring together industry experts, researchers, policy makers and regulators to explore the latest advances and challenges in the thermal management of the hydrogen supply chain. It will discuss applications and measurement methods to quantify thermophysical properties as key values to improve the performance and efficiency of hydrogen production, transportation, storage and conversion technologies.
The Met4H2 project aims to establish standards for hydrogen flow measurement, quality assessment and ownership transfer to ensure safe application and regulatory compliance. The development of reliable measurement methods for hydrogen production and use and the improvement of standards for flow measurement and gas quality assessment are some of the specific objectives of the project. The workshop will also address important topics such as health, safety and environment, flow measurement, hydrogen quality and measurement uncertainties for fiscal measurement.
The results of the project are expected to support the industry, metrology and scientific communities and thus contribute significantly to the safe application of hydrogen in energy systems.
