The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) has launched the funding call "Transfer campaign for large heat pumps and thermal storage systems for industry".
The aim is to bring innovative solutions from research into practice more quickly and thus accelerate the conversion of the industrial heat supply.
Funding is provided for demonstration projects for industrial and large-scale heat pumps and thermal energy storage systems that integrate new technologies into real production processes, increase efficiency and facilitate the transfer of technology into practice. A combination of both technologies is expressly desired in order to exploit synergies.
Companies, start-ups, SMEs, research institutions, universities, municipal companies and energy suppliers are eligible to apply. The outlines must be submitted by February 28, 2026 via the electronic application system easy-Online.
"The transfer campaign supports the Heat Transition 2045 mission and shows how industrial processes can be made efficient, economical and climate-neutral," emphasizes the BMWE.
