QC Next funding call published

Software solutions sought for the commercial use of quantum computing

The DLR Project Management Agency has launched the new "QC Next" funding call on behalf of the BMFTR. The aim is to develop a modular software stack with open interfaces and practical process models to systematically integrate quantum computing into industrial processes.

A lead project is to develop a reference architecture from December 2025. The satellite projects that have now been put out to tender are invited to validate and further develop this architecture. The focus is on three areas:

Development of process and engineering models for industrial applications
Extension of the software stack with additional software modules and abstractions between hardware and application
Integration of quantum computing into existing industrial software and processes

Virtual information event: A digital information and networking event will take place on November 6 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
