TAZ Spiegelau receives funding approval for "ReMelt4Zero"

The funding approval for the "ReMelt4Zero" project is a strong signal for the scientific location of Spiegelau and the entire Lower Bavaria region.

The aim of the project is to make glass production emission-free by using all-electric melting tanks and 100% recycled glass. Supported by artificial intelligence and the digitalization of processes, it not only aims to drive forward development to reduce CO₂ emissions, but also to counteract the shortage of skilled workers. The funding underlines the importance of regional research for global challenges such as the energy transition and the circular economy.
