PURE Solar achieves 25 % efficiency with new BIPV glass

PURE Solar sets new efficiency benchmark with BIPV glass: flexible modules with up to 25% efficiency for buildings, façades and lightweight construction

01.12.2025

PURE Solar has developed a new BIPV glass that achieves an efficiency of 25 %.

The company is thus setting a new technical benchmark in the field of building-integrated photovoltaics. In addition, the manufacturer's flexible modules achieve around 20 % efficiency and the lightweight glass modules around 23 %.

The new modules are available in various colors, shapes and transparency levels. PURE Solar produces customized solutions and works together with architecture and planning teams. A newly developed fluorine protective film increases UV resistance and reduces the risk of yellowing.

In the area of flexible photovoltaics, the company says it has also taken material use and recyclability over the entire life cycle into account. Flexible modules require less raw material and are easier to dismantle and recycle, which improves their environmental footprint.

The low mass of the modules is intended to simplify installation: No elevation or reinforcement of the roof structure is required. They are attached using silicone adhesive and integrated spacer tape for ventilation.

PURE Solar sees the new product generation as a contribution to the increased use of renewable energies in the built environment. The modules are suitable for vehicles, facades, curved surfaces, lightweight roofs and other applications. The company offers a performance guarantee of 25 to 30 years as well as a 12-year material and processing guarantee. The products are certified in accordance with IEC 61215 and IEC 61730.
