Production of the future

Developing joint solutions for working in the future

22.08.2025

The second RECENTRE workshop focused on skilled workers - and working in the production of the future. In Augsburg, participants spent an afternoon discussing and developing future prospects. Conclusion: stay tuned!

One characteristic of "Industry 5.0" is that social transformation is given the same importance as green and digital transformation. The focus here is on the question of how employees can be involved in the transformation process, how the jobs of the future will change in production and how the challenges can best be met.
At the end of July, specialists and technical decision-makers from production came to the Augsburg Technology Center at the Mechatronics & Automation Cluster to discuss the challenges and solutions in depth as part of the RECENTRE project. The participants highlighted the following points in particular:

  • The challenges that employees perceive in the face of changes in production must not be underestimated and must be addressed. Clear communication helps here.
  • Modular training courses and new training components help to keep pace with rapid change, react flexibly and adapt to current needs.
  • Data security is existential - employees must be made aware of this.
  • The development of companies must be embedded in the overall social and global development - strong networking offers not only risks but also opportunities here
  • Space for exchange and ideas is necessary to ensure innovative, flexible and sustainable production in the future - not just for management levels, but for all employees.
