The German Energy Agency's Competence Center for Serial Refurbishment / Energiesprong Deutschland has published new guidelines for planning serial refurbishments.
They are intended to help specialists to implement projects more efficiently, sustainably and with less risk.
Practical knowledge for planning and implementation
The publications bring together experience from previous projects and cover key aspects of planning - from stocktaking and technical solutions to circularity. The aim is to provide more orientation and certainty in the early project phase.
Serial refurbishments rely on digitalized processes and prefabricated construction elements. This reduces construction times and costs, while minimizing interventions for residents.
Focus on three guidelines
The new publications cover three central topics:
- Inventory: the basis for reliable planning data
- Fastening systems: Requirements for façade and module solutions
- Circularity: integration of sustainable materials and concepts
The guidelines are aimed at planning offices, energy consultants, housing companies and providers of serial solutions, among others.
Contributing to climate neutrality in the building sector
According to dena, serial renovations are an important lever for increasing energy efficiency in existing buildings and achieving climate targets. The new guidelines are intended to contribute to the broader implementation of corresponding projects.
