IAA Mobility 2025: It's all about Mobility!

Innovationsland Bayern: Your strong partner for transformation

The claim of this year's IAA Mobility expresses what visitors can expect this year: It's all about Mobility! Everything revolves around mobility - both at the Summit and at the Open Space - because this year's IAA is once again taking place at several venues. The joint stand of Bayern Innovativ and the StMWi is right in the middle of it all, presenting Bavaria as a leading location for transformation and innovation together with partners and co-exhibitors.

Summit: Theme islands demonstrate Bavaria's innovative strength

Bavaria's leading role in the mobility system is also reflected in this year's stand concept, which once again appears under the slogan "BAVARIA the land of innovation". The Bavarian map is once again a visual highlight this year. Thematically, the stand focuses on the topics "Bavaria as a partner", "Strength through transformation" and "Innovation as a driving force", which are presented in the form of themed islands on the exhibition stand and are described in more detail below.

Theme island 3: Innovation as a driver

Transformation is only possible through innovation - be it in the area of sustainability and the circular economy, in energy and charging management, in smart cities and mobility solutions or in data-driven business models. The focus is on products and solutions that showcase Bavarian innovative strength.

The AHEAD (Autonomous Humanitarian Emergency Aid Devices) project is transferring robotic technologies from remote-controlled systems to humanitarian and disaster relief applications. The vision is to use remote-controlled amphibious vehicles to transport relief supplies safely and cost-effectively to those in need, as well as to use them in disaster scenarios in which places that are difficult to access also need to be reached and supplied or people need to be rescued. It is important to protect drivers and rescuers of such systems as much as possible.
The transportation of humanitarian goods poses serious problems for NGOs. The drivers of aid transports are exposed to risks from attacks, animal attacks and diseases such as malaria or Ebola. In addition, there is often insufficient infrastructure for transportation in the affected areas, for example in the impassable and flood-affected regions of South Sudan.
Due to the rapidly increasing number of natural and catastrophic events, the use case in the RESTIEK sub-project is dedicated to supporting rescue teams.

Disaster events pose major challenges for civil protection and disaster control, including in terms of

  • Availability of communication links,
  • availability of up-to-date data for situation assessment and evaluation, especially with regard to affected critical infrastructures,
  • accessibility of the disaster area despite destroyed infrastructure and safe transportation of goods to/from disaster areas.

The battery value chain comprises numerous steps - from the selection and processing of materials to the production of electrodes and battery cells, the construction of battery modules and system integration. Recycling and secondary use also play a central role.
In addition, topics such as occupational safety and basic specialist knowledge play an important role for entry and qualified work in this field.
The B³ Batterie Bildungsnetzwerk Bayern systematically teaches this content. All qualifications are developed by experts with a practical orientation and aim to make you fit for the necessary topics for your practice.
