The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is inviting Bavarian companies to an exclusive delegation trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The small group trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi will take place from May 5 to 8, 2026 under the motto "Energy efficiency in buildings". It is organized by the representative office of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs at the German-Emirati Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK).

The delegation is aimed at a maximum of six companies from Bavaria. Group and B2B meetings with Emirati institutions and companies are planned in order to explore specific business opportunities and establish contacts with relevant market players. The detailed program is currently still being worked out.

The background to the trip is the growing market opportunities in the UAE's building sector. Air conditioning, cooling and ventilation account for around 70 percent of electricity consumption there. As part of the Net Zero 2050 Strategy, the impetus from COP28 and ambitious emirate programs, increasing the energy efficiency of buildings is becoming increasingly important. Robust HVAC systems, intelligent building automation, energy-efficient façade and shading solutions as well as retrofit concepts for the extensive building stock are particularly in demand.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are considered pioneers with programs such as the Dubai Demand Side Management Strategy 2030, mandatory energy audits and a strong role for ESCOs. There are opportunities for Bavarian companies to enter the market as technology providers, project partners or suppliers - German solutions enjoy an excellent reputation.

Participation in the delegation trip offers an ideal platform for examining market potential, establishing personal contacts and preparing concrete business contacts. The registration deadline is March 20, 2026. Flights and accommodation must be booked independently.
