Delegation trip to Egypt: Market opportunities in the ICT sector

Egypt's ICT sector had a growth rate of 16% in 2022/23, making it the fastest growing sector of the Egyptian economy. The state promotes initiatives and invests in ICT capacities in Egypt. The aim of the delegation trip led by Ministerial Director Dr. Markus Wittmann from 3 to 7 November 2024 is to open up new opportunities for Bavarian companies in an attractive international market.

Bavarian companies have good opportunities to export their products to Egypt, especially hardware and cyber security software. Egypt imports a large proportion of its hardware, as local production is limited. Through partnerships and cooperation, Bavarian companies can benefit from Egypt's growing blockchain and fintech sector. The delegation trip is intended to help establish new contacts. Interested companies can apply to participate until July 26.
