New BMWK AI funding program Pioneering solutions and business models

The Innovation Program for Business Models and Pioneering Solutions (IGP) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) is starting a new round. Funding is available for innovative pioneering solutions and business models for better use of data and artificial intelligence.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have until 11.02.2025 to take part in the new call for proposals from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) for business models and pioneering solutions for the better use of data and artificial intelligence (AI).
These include new approaches to make data from science, business, administration or culture more usable, innovative concepts for data sharing or pooling, improvement or creation of responsible data and AI ecosystems, new applications and uses for AI (e.g. for new services, including "AI for good"), new specialist, training and information offerings on AI or data use, new solutions for challenges in the AI context as well as forward-looking applications and concepts for better data use, including in connection with AI. The deadline for submitting applications to participate is February 11, 2025 at 3:00 pm.
The next IGP call is expected to start in the second quarter of 2025 and will focus on business models and pioneering solutions for securing skilled workers and better labor market integration. These include innovations for training, further education and knowledge transfer in the workplace, new concepts for attracting foreign skilled workers, innovative offers for reconciling family and work, labor market integration of groups with special or specific needs (e.g. refugees, new/career changers), new solutions for better use of skilled worker potential in demographic change, improvements in areas such as mental health in the workplace or team cohesion, etc.
