Cybersecurity education for children
December 11, 2025
A Dutch social enterprise has developed an award-winning learning platform that teaches children and young people how to use the internet safely and basic cybersecurity skills in a fun way. Through the use of gamification, children learn topics such as password security, data protection, phishing detection and the responsible use of personal data in an entertaining way. After great success in the Netherlands as well as in countries such as Sweden, Cyprus, France and Brazil, the company is now looking to expand further internationally.
Benefits and innovations
The main benefit is that this gaming platform provides the younger generation with the knowledge and skills they need to protect themselves in the digital world. By making learning about cyber safety fun and interactive, it promotes a proactive attitude towards online safety in children and encourages them to become 'cyber agents', protecting not only themselves but also their families, friends and communities from digital threats.
An innovative aspect of this platform is that the technology and content is developed centrally, while allowing for local adaptation to market conditions and learning objectives set by, for example, national governments.
Partners sought/ cooperation sought
We are looking for country or regional partners who will build a local network of public and private organizations, schools and education authorities in their respective countries and license the platform. Ideally, the partner organizations are non-profit or non-governmental and have experience in cybersecurity and digital education with children aged 8 to 12.
The expansion model is based on a so-called "global social franchise". The local partner receives a license to use the platform, develops a regional partner network (e.g. with municipalities or companies) and finances the expansion of the offering through annual contributions. The Dutch company provides marketing materials, contract templates, support platforms and campaigns adapted to local markets.
