Bnewable launches business operations in Germany
Belgian company Bnewable launches in Germany in May 2025, offering industrial companies integrated battery storage solutions and intelligent energy management.
The Belgian energy company Bnewable is launching its business operations in Germany in May 2025. The aim is to supply industry with battery storage and intelligent energy management, the company announced on April 29.
Fabian Knoch and Max Kronberg, who say they have many years of experience in the development of industrial energy systems, will take over the management of the company. The two managing directors previously worked at "be.storaged GmbH", where they analyzed the challenges faced by industrial energy consumers in the context of the energy transition.
According to Bnewable, it is pursuing a new approach: battery storage systems on company premises are intelligently controlled using the company's own Voltana platform. The model is complemented by financing that relieves companies of investment risks, Bnewable said in a press release.
Germany as the first step in expansion
Bnewable plans to transfer its experience from Belgium to the German market. The aim is to increase the flexibility of industrial energy consumers and thereby support a more stable and efficient electricity market. Bnewable's technology is already in use in Belgium and will now be adapted to the requirements of the German market, the statement continues.
By entering the German market, Bnewable is expanding internationally for the first time. According to the Belgians, the similarities between the German and Belgian energy markets are decisive for this: strong industrial structures, a growing proportion of fluctuating renewable energies and high electricity prices.
The German branch is starting with an office in Oldenburg and a team of six. The team is to be expanded further by the end of 2025. The expansion will be financed by growth capital of 40 million euros raised in 2024.
