The green energy company Iqony is now offering operators of wind and solar energy systems quasi real-time offers for direct marketing contracts. This is just the beginning.

Together with the Hamburg-based start-up Trace Electrity, the Essen-based green energy company Iqony has developed and launched an online configurator for the direct marketing of electricity from wind and photovoltaic systems. As Iqony announced in coordination with Trace, operators of systems with a direct marketing obligation, i.e. with an installed capacity of at least 100 kW, can use the new tool to obtain a non-binding price indication within "just a few" minutes.

According to Iqony and Trace, the web-based configurator is intended to simplify the often time-consuming and analog quotation process. In just a few steps, operators can have a non-binding quotation created free of charge and around the clock on an Iqony subpage. Among other things, the company, the energy source and the location of the system are requested.

Initially, the digital service will focus on the direct marketing of renewable electricity. According to Iqony, it has chosen this sector because it offers particular potential for optimizing business processes.

The plan is to expand the platform to other areas such as green power purchase agreements (PPA, plant-related direct supply contracts) and market access contracts in the course of the year.
